Meet My Missionary

This is Ruben Enrique Mejia, the love of my life. I've had the blessing of having him in my life for over 3 years now. I'm so grateful that God blessed me with this loving, caring, goofy, selfless, funny, and handsome guy! Not only does he have just about every good characteristic that there is to describe a guy, but he has a GREAT love for the Lord and the gospel of Jesus Christ. What a blessing it is to have a man who ups and leaves all of his family, friends, and comfort zone at home to go somewhere unfamiliar & totally new to him to serve the Lord. What a great act of sacrifice and true love. Ruben is such a great example to me and I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to wait for him. And not only to wait for him, but to PREPARE for him. To grow for myself and to allow myself to be molded into the woman that God needs me to be. Although I am terrified of what these 2 years will bring, I know that I have a strong, solid foundation with this guy. Our bond is undeniable, indescribable, and unbreakable. The trials and rocky paths that we experienced have only made us the strongest we've ever been and I truly feel unbreakable. I just feel so incredibly thankful for this blessing! I'm excited to see what is in store for us, and I'm super excited for this journey.
Elder Mejia reported to the MTC on December 17th, 2014. He leaves the MTC to go to the mission field in Twin Falls, Idaho on January 6th, 2015. There he will be serving for 2 years and will return home in December of 2016!!
